Final social media report into mental illness and suicide communication by the media and other sectors - 7 January 2014

Mindframe has published its final report investigating communication by the media and other sectors around mental illness and suicide via social media. The outcomes of this report will be used to develop guidance for both the media and mental health and suicide preventions sectors on safe and effective use when promoting such issues.

‘Suicide bereavement and the media’ article published in Advances in Mental Health - 20 December 2013

Hunter Institute of Mental Health (Hunter Institute) staff have published a journal article titled: ‘Suicide bereavement and the media: A qualitative study’ in the Advances in Mental Health journal (V11, issue 3). The research was led by Mindframe, with authors including Jaelea Skehan (Hunter Institute), Myfanwy Maple (University of New England), and Jill Fisher (National StandBy Response Service).
